The Hooked & Plucked story

Both being born in Cumbria, Yasmin and Nadia Padidar wanted to bring a bit of city life to our small town on the sea. Our team has a fantastic mixture of experience in the restaurant industry with our kitchen manager of 8 years having studied at the Cordon Bleu Culinary School in both Paris and London.

Together we are a team and the philosophies of Sohrab and Valerie Padidar are present in every meal we serve.

From crispy battered fish and chips to fresh spit-roasted chickens - you’ll be hooked at first bite. Expect deliciously fresh fish that is sustainably sourced, including our cod that is responsibly caught and MSC certified. Our delicious chicken is locally sourced here in Cumbria, before being marinated in our secret blend of herbs and spices and roasted on our spit to pluck up all the finest flavours. If you want a sweet treat, all of our cakes and cookies are lovingly baked on site. We also serve proper coffee to get you through the day and the best milkshakes ever (just see for yourself!) and we also offer a variety of beverages including alcoholic and soft drinks.
